(b Cherkassy, Ukraine, June 21, 1903; d Boston, May 4, 1995). American violinist. He was brought to the USA at the age of five, and graduated in 1923 from the New England Conservatory, where he studied the violin with Eugene Gruenberg and composition with Frederick Converse.
