(b Grossdittmannsdorf, nr Dresden, Sept 7, 1631; d Zeitz, March 27, 1668). German composer and instrumentalist. He studied under Philipp Stolle in Dresden, then in 1642 was taken by Heinrich Schütz to Copenhagen, where he was a choirboy at the court.
