(b London, 1893; d London, Nov 1, 1982). English composer. Her earliest surviving work is dated 1919, but it was not until 1924 that she entered the RCM, where she studied composition with R.O. Morris and Vaughan Williams. In 1932 she won an Octavia Travelling Scholarship to study with Egon Wellesz in Vienna.
