(b Chelsea, MA, June 28, 1863; d Brookline, MA, Jan 22, 1949). American pianist, composer and teacher. She studied in Boston with D.J. Lang (piano), J.C.D. Parker and J.K. Paine (harmony), and George Chadwick (composition); and in Berlin with Moritz Moszkowski and Scharwenka. She appeared as a pianist with many Boston organizations, had an extensive network of piano students for more than 40 years and composed steadily from an early age into the 1930s.
