(b Paris, July 19, 1941). French composer . She studied at the Paris Conservatoire, where she was a pupil of André Jolivet, and in 1968 won the Prix de Rome, after which she spent two years at the Casa de Velasquez. Her other awards include the Prix de la Vocation, the Prix Florence Gould (from the Académie des Beaux-Arts), the Prix Hervé Dugardin and the Grand Prix de la Musique de Chambre (from SACEM). Lejet’s works are precisely structured and reflect her interest in extended instrumental techniques, yet they also display her attachment to the French ‘colourist’ tradition.
