(b Argostoli, Cephalonia [Kefalonia], 1825; d 1907). Greek composer, conductor, and educator. He belonged to Kefalonia’s nobility, but received his early musical education in the Argostoli Philharmonic by its Italian conductor Gaetano de Angelis.
