(b Nov 8, 1961, Belgrade, Serbia). Serbian ethnomusicologist, docent at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, and assistant in the phonoarchive. He is a specialist in Serbian instrumental music, world music, and other genres of popular music, as well as in the digitalisation of sound material. He conducted his field research mainly in the region of Vojvodina (North Serbia). In addition to the areas already mentioned, Marković published works that touched on the issues of the history of Serbian ethnomusicology, computer-aided analysis of music, automatic transcription, contemporary computer-aided investigation in ethnomusicology, and the formal construction of Serbian folk music. He is also active as an author and producer of popular and concert music. Marković is a member of the Serbian Ethnomusicological Society (SED), ICTM, and Composers Association of Macedonia (SOKOM)....
