(b Črna na Koroškem, Slovenia, July 11, 1930). Slovenian composer and conductor. Considered one of the greatest Slovenian musicians of the 20th century, he has left a special mark on Slovenian pop song, chanson, and popular music as far as both music composition and interpretation are concerned. His father, Franz Shiffer, was an opera singer, and his mother, Ljudmila Sepe, a music teacher.
