Sofia Soloists Chamber Ensemblelocked

Bulgarian chamber ensemble. It was founded in 1961 on the initiative of musicians from the Opera House Orchestra. The first rehearsal was held in November and six months later its first concert was performed with great success, conducted by Mikhail Angelov. Originally called the Sofia Chamber Orchestra and later renamed Sofia Soloists, the staff includes 13 artists. The Sofia Soloists Chamber Ensemble has released over 90 records and CDs by BMG, Denon, Balkanton, Gega, Victor, Laibor Records, and others, which have been sold on three continents, and they have participated in dozens of television movies. They have worked with notable conductors and soloists, including Henryk Szeryng, Heinz Holliger, Patrick Gallois, Vesselina Kasarova, and Nigel Kennedy.
