(b Athens, Greece, March 7, 1966). Greek guitarist. She started playing at the age of eight. She studied under Evangelos Boudounis (National Conservatory of Athens, diploma with honours) Oscar Ghiglia, and Gordon Crosskey (postgraduate studies, Royal Northern College of Music, England). She also played in masterclasses of Alirio Diaz, Julian Bream, Leo Brower, and Ruggero Chiesa. She gave her first concert at the age of 15 and made her first recording at the age of 16. Papandreou has received numerous awards and prizes in international competitions and has performed throughout the world in some of the most prestigious halls such as the Vienna Musikverein, Koelner Philharmonie, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Athens Concert Hall, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall (Moscow), and Queen Elisabeth Hall (London).
