(b Rye, NY, Aug 19, 1902; d Baltimore, MD, May 19, 1971). American poet and lyricist. He studied at Harvard University and worked in New York before settling in Baltimore as a full-time writer. He produced several volumes of light and satiric verse, a few screenplays, and lyrics for Broadway and television shows.
