(b Aberdeen, WA, Feb 20, 1967; d Seattle, WA, cApril 5, 1994). American rock singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He was born in Aberdeen, Washington, a logging town that became economically depressed while he was growing up there in the 1970s and 80s. He began to adopt a rebellious attitude shortly after his parents divorced when he was eight years old and his home life became increasingly unstable.
