(b Brooklyn, NY, Sept 22, 1894; d New York, NY, March 2, 1967). American songwriter, composer, and pianist. Dreyer joined the Joe Morris Music Company as a pianist in 1913 and became the accompanist for vaudeville stars Al Jolson, Sophie Tucker, Belle Baker, and Frank Fay. In the 1920s he worked as a staff pianist at the Irving Berlin Music Company where he became a department manager. While there he also wrote movie scores. In ...
