An amplified string instrument constructed by Mauricio Kagel in 1969 for his composition Unter Strom. It consists of an upright, gate-like frame (6 metres x 1.5 metres) made from 28 mm steel tubing, across which five very long guitar strings of different gauges are stretched, each amplified by means of its own electromagnetic pickup. The strings are plucked and played by sticks, double bass bows, small ventilator propellers, and other devices, sometimes by three performers simultaneously....
