Opera seria in three acts by Niccolò Jommelli to a libretto by Mattia Verazi ; Naples, S Carlo, 30 May 1771.

Verazi’s original libretto, set by Majo (1764, Mannheim), contained several innovations. Besides the programmatic sinfonia, Verazi had provided at least one choral scene in each act as well as a quartet, two duets (one with an interjection by a third character) and two trios.
