Dramma per musica in a prologue and three acts by Claudio Monteverdi to a libretto by Giacomo Badoaro after Homer’s Odyssey (books 13–23); Venice, Teatro SS Giovanni e Paolo, 1640.

This was Monteverdi’s first opera for Venice, Badoaro having written the libretto specifically to tempt Monteverdi to display his talents on the Venetian stage.
