Burletta per musica in two acts by Joseph Haydn to a libretto by Marco Coltellini , possibly revised by Carl Friberth ; Eszterháza, 26 July 1773.

The first documented performance of this work was on the name-day (26 July) of the Dowager Princess Esterházy, as the first edition of the libretto – printed at Ödenburg (Sopron) by Joseph Siess – indicates. The cast featured Maddalena Friberth, Barbara Dichtler, Carl Friberth, Leopold Dichtler and Christian Specht. The libretto was reprinted with a new title-page, ‘nell’occasione del gloriosissimo arrivo quìvi de Sua Maestia L’Imperatrice Maria Theresia … nel mese di Settembre dell’Anno ...
