(b Brussels, bap. Feb 29, 1684; d Paris, March 19, 1757). Franco-Flemish teacher of music and dancing. He taught in Brussels before moving to Paris about 1725–6 with his wife, Marie-Anne de Smedt (married 2 August 1709), and their children.
