(b Agliè Canavese, Turin, Nov 29, 1942). Italian composer. She studied in Turin with Amalia Pierangeli Mussato (piano) and Giorgio Ferrari (composition). After graduation she attended the International Sommer-Akademie in Salzburg, studying with Kurt Leimer, and took part in courses given by Goffredo Petrassi, Franco Evangelisti, Luis de Pablo, Luciano Berio and Pierre Boulez at the Accademia Chigiana, Siena. Her works have been performed at major contemporary music festivals, including Naples, and by prestigious groups in Italy and elsewhere. Her output includes Conversari for orchestra (1981) and Serenata for chamber orchestra (1982). Among her smaller-scale pieces are Contrasti for two clarinets (1981), Duo in eco for violin and guitar (1982), a piano trio (1986) and A solo for clarinet, violin, guitar, mandolin and percussion (1991).
