( fl Paris, ?1710–1737). French composer . A member of the Pinel dynasty of court lutenists whose immediate family had served the house of Soubise from the 1680s, she may have been the ‘Mlle. Pinet [sic] la fille’ who published an air in Ballard’s 1710 recueil. In December 1736 she acquired an eight-year privilège, enabling her to publish vocal and instrumental chamber music. Before the year was out Pinel published a book of airs and in 1737 a Nouveau recueil d’airs sérieux et à boire à une et deux voix, de Brunettes à 2 dessus, scène pastorale, et cantatille avec accompagnement, dedicated to the Prince of Soubise; concertante flute parts contribute to trio textures in a delicately ornamented air sérieux and cantatille, both entitled ‘Le Printemps’.M.
