(d St Petersburg, 1784). Russian composer and keyboard player . The daughter of Admiral Alexey Naumovich Sinyavin, she was the dedicatee of a keyboard concerto by Giovanni Paisiello , probably first performed at the court of Catherine II in 1781 with Sinyavina as soloist. She was active at the court as a composer of instrumental music from the late 1770s. According to the concerto’s title-page she was a maid of honour to the Empress (Concerto … alla Signora de Sianovine, dame di onore de S. M. I. l’Imperatrice di tutte le Russie). In 1781 she married S.R. Vorontsov (later Russian ambassador in London) and died three years later, having composed numerous short instrumental and keyboard pieces for private court occasions; the only extant examples survive in manuscript form (keyboard dances in RU-SPsc).
