Dealers (also referred to as vendors) are the business entities that sell books, periodicals, scores, audio and video recordings, and antiquarian materials (both printed and manuscript) to libraries and individuals. This article focuses on the services that dealers in music scores and recordings provide to music libraries; consideration of general book dealers and periodical subscription agents is omitted in this context.
