Horn of the Vira and Fuliru peoples of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Rundi of Burundi. It is made of ivory or cow horn. Kimene denotes both side- and end-blown horns, the former used to announce a chief’s arrival, the latter a notable’s. See also Kimpungidi, (2) .
