An inexpensive electronic organ developed by George P. Gubbins of Oak Park, Illinois, in the late 1940s and manufactured on a limited basis during the 1950s. Its tuned reeds were contained in resonators made of wood pulp; the vibrations were converted by electrostatic pickups into voltage variations and made audible over a loudspeaker.
