Whizzer of Minangkabau, West Sumatra. It consists of part of a human cranium with a long loop of string threaded through two small holes in the middle. The player holds one end of the loop in each hand, swinging it to wind it up, and then pulls and releases alternately so that the bone whizzes around and around, creating a strong buzzing sound. It is used in shamanist rites, and also as a means of magically abducting the soul of a woman....
