(b Barchín del Hoyo, Cuenca, Spain, c1730; d Málaga, Spain, Jan 21, 1794). Spanish organ builder. Son of the organ builder Pedro de la Orden, in 1762 he succeeded his father-in-law, Juan Ruiz Fresneda, as official builder to Cuenca Cathedral, for which he repaired the organ bellows in 1763 and supplied two fine instruments in 1768 and 1770. He then built two magnificent organs for Málaga Cathedral (1778 and 1781; cases by Martin de Aldehuela) over initial objections from his employers at Cuenca. He also worked at Sacedón (1778), at the church of Santiago, Málaga, the church at Cómpeta, and the cathedral at Burgo del Osma (1766), while still receiving a salary from Cuenca at least until 1786 and occasionally working there later.
