Pair of small cymbals of Bali. They are about 5 cm in diameter, mounted between forked bamboo sticks and struck against the ground. A single player holds a kangsi in each hand, performing basic ostinato patterns. The kangsi is rare and used exclusively in the gamelan pegambuhan ensemble; it may be absent from those ensembles from the north of the island....
