Side-blown free-reed aerophone of the Hmong people of Laos, northern Vietnam, northeast Thailand, and southern China. It consists of a buffalo horn or sometimes a bamboo tube closed at one end; the reed is affixed in the middle of the horn and two notes a fifth apart can be produced.
