Electronic organ developed by a team consisting chiefly of former employees of the Minshall Organ company, with Richard H. Dorf; it was made in several models by the Kinsman Manufacturing Co. (founded by Earle V. Kinsman) in Laconia, New Hampshire, from 1957 to the early 1960s, when the company was taken over by the Seeburg Corp. The instruments are ‘spinet’ organs, with two staggered 44 note manuals, intended for home use. The sounds are generated by 12 neon-lamp oscillators using frequency division (the Kinsman was the first electronic organ to make commercial use of this type of oscillator)....
