Double-chested fiddle of the sārindā type, of the Baluchistan region of Pakistan. In Iranian Baluchistan it is called sorud (soruz), and in Sind, surando, the last-named having a close relationship with the Baluchi instrument. It accompanies vocal music, often balladic, with the danbūro (lute).
