Line of loop remixing apps for the iPhone and iPad, released in 2009 by the Italian computer music technology firm IK Multimedia. Eight numbered buttons allow instant control over eight stereo loop tracks. Four ‘mix’ buttons give access to new track choices. The ‘loops’ button gives access to 125 preset loops including bass parts, lead lines, and sound effects. Each track can have its tempo altered, or be muted, or the relative volume adjusted. A group of settings creates a ‘groove’ that can be saved using the ‘groove snap’ button. Grooves can be exported to a computer as an audio file.
