(b San Francisco, May 31, 1922). American soprano. Her teachers were Pietro Cimini in Los Angeles and Elizabeth Wells in San Francisco. She made her début as Leonora in a concert performance of Il trovatore at the Hollywood Bowl in 1945. Her stage début took place the next year at the Metropolitan Opera as Micaela.
