Hermann August Eule (b Löbau, Germany, 4 Jan 1846; d Bautzen, Germany, 27 June 1929) was the son of the piano maker Karl August Eule and learnt his trade with Leopold Kohl in Bautzen between 1861 and 1864. He worked alongside Kohl from 1864 to 1868, and then travelled for three years, working for Carl Voigt in Halberstadt and Balthasar Schlimmbach in Würzburg. On 26 January 1872 he established his own workshop in Bautzen (at no.17 Äussere Lauenstrasse); he became a freeman of the city in 1874 and married the following year. He transferred the business to no.6 Wilthener Strasse in 1888. His only son, Georg, also an organ builder, disappeared in 1918, during World War I.
