Fiddle of Tripura state, northeast India. It is made from a single, hollowed piece of wood, about one metre long. The long resonator is cylindrical and nailed to it is a leaf soundtable. Three strings, one of gut and two of steel, are attached to tuning-pegs in the neck, and at the lower end to an integral inferior string holder. The bow has not been described....
