(b Flensburg, 17 June 1967). German soprano. She studied at the Hochschule für Music und darstellende Kunst in Hamburg, with Barbara Schlick at the Akademie für Alte Musik in Bremen and subsequently in Los Angeles, New York and (with Vera Rosza) London. She made her professional concert début in 1986 and her operatic début, as Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, at the Vienna Akademie in 1992. The same year she appeared as Zerlina in Israel, and in 1993 made her début at the Halle Handel Festival as Dorinda in Orlando. Röschmann's acclaimed Salzburg Festival début, as Mozart's Susanna, followed in 1995, and she has since returned to the Festival as Ilia, Servilia (La clemenza di Tito) and Pamina.
