(b Prizren, Kosovo, Sept 1, 1936). Kosovar composer and professor. He finished secondary school in Prizren (1954–7) and studied music theory and pedagogy in Sarajevo. After graduating he returned to Prishtina, Kosovo, where he was appointed director of the music program for Radio Prishtina. Koci also studied composition at the Academy of Music in Skopje (1972) under Toma Prošev. He attended courses and seminars in Stuttgart, where he won a scholarship to study with Milko Klemen and finished his studies at the Academy of Music in Sarajevo (1981) under Zija Kučukalić. He has been a professor and dean at the Faculty of Arts in Prishtina (1975) in Literature.

Koci relocated to London in the early 1990s. He is a member of professional associations of composers in Kosovo, Croatia, and Great Britain, and also of the Artistic Cultural Society, and chairman of Music Youth of Kosovo....
