- Rreze Kryeziu
(b Peja, Kosovo, July 3, 1952). Kosovar composer. He studied at the Secondary Music School in Prishtina (1971–5) and at Sarajevo University under Miroslav Spiler (composition and conducting, 1976), where he also did postgraduate studies with Josip Magdić (1984). He completed the qualification course with Tony Aubin at Conservatoire de Paris (1978–80). After returning to Kosovo he taught music at the Faculty of Arts in Prishtina. In 1991 he moved to Pula, Croatia where he continues to live and work as a musician.
Shehu has a diverse oeuvre comprising works of various forms and genres including vocal-instrumental, scenic music, chamber music, and orchestral works. His works have won several prizes in Kosovo and abroad. He is the founder of the Pula Summer Festival.
