Farrell, Eibhlis ( b Rostrevor, Co. Down , July 27, 1953 ). Irish composer . She studied at Queen’s University, Belfast (BMus) and Bristol University (MMus), where her composition teachers included Raymond Warren. In 1980 she was appointed lecturer in music at St Mary’s University College, Belfast, and was appointed deputy principal of the Dublin College of Music (since renamed the Conservatory of Music and Drama at Dublin Institute of Technology) in 1983 .
